Sunday Sweets Celebrates Pop Culture Dads

We've all seen enough necktie cakes to last us a lifetime, right? So instead, I thought we'd celebrate Father's day with some famous dads in Pop Culture.

After all, the dads on TV and in movies run the whole gamut of fatherhood.

There are the dads who make us laugh:

Dads who give great advice:

Dads who like to cook:

And dads who are REALLY old-fashioned:

There are the single dads:

(I couldn't find a cake of him with his son, Max, but go watch A Goofy Movie!)

And the dads who left us too soon.

But we remember.

There are dads who make the most groan-worthy "Dad Jokes," like Bob Belcher with his daily menus:

This baker also made cookies of all the characters, plus lots more menu boards!

So good.

Of course some dads have a dark side:

Oof, I'm getting choked up.

But the good ones will find you when you're lost:

And the good ones also step up when your biological dad turn out to be a homicidal maniac trying to destroy the galaxy:

"He may have been your father, boy, but he wasn't your Daddy."

TEARS EVERY TIME.

Happy Father's day, everyone! Now, go celebrate all the good dads in your life, whether you're related or not.

And once again, everyone's* favorite:

MISSED MARKS!!!

(*May not be your favorite. You may prefer cakes that look like wangs. Which is totally cool. Weirdo.)

Ashton H. wanted a pretty princess carriage like this:

...but I think she picked it up after midnight.

Womp WOMP.

Felicia F. ordered this stunner for her Uncle's birthday:

"I like... GOOOOLD!"

But instead, she just got stunned:

Shoulda gone with a schmoke an' a pancake.

Also, sometimes I like to amuse myself by referencing Austin Powers villains.
Because everyone needs a hobby.

Jyoti K. asked for this adorable princess cake:

D'awww.

But instead, got this:

D'aaaaauuuugh!

Nicholas W. actually had his baker send HIM this photo, saying this is what the cake would look like:

Nice!

Soooo...

Turns out...

NicholasWhi.ow.result.jpg

It didn't really look like that.

And finally, Roshnid H. ordered this peacock cake:

Now, I know what you're thinking.

You're thinking, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Roshnid's cake ended up looking like the Loch Ness monster with a bunch of shaving cream on its nose?"

Well, my friend, YOU ARE IN LUCK.

Because yes:

Yes, it would.

Thanks to Ashton H., Felicia F., Jyoti K., Nicholas W., & Roshnid H., who suspects that may actually just be a floating log - but WE BELIEVE.
