Sunday Sweets: A Disney Movie Marathon

It's time for a Disney Movie Sweets Marathon!

Let's kick it off with a few classics, shall we?

Cinderella's helpers really did have great taste; her original pink dress just doesn't get enough love these days, which is why I especially love this cake! The trailing "threads" and blue beads are a great touch.

And who here remembers the Aristocats?

Ok, I admit it: I honestly don't remember ever watching this movie. o.0 Oh, I bet it’s on Disney Plus! Anyhoo, regardless, these characters look like collectible porcelain statues - and that bridge on the bottom tier? AMAZING.

Take a sec to really look at all those details, guys. The little bunnies! The moss on the stones! The individual shingles! I've got a dream, and it involves that tower under a big glass dome on my desk.

Can we talk about that globe encircling the apple? And the evil witch sculpted over the glass? GENIUS, I tell you. And that's not even mentioning the hand-painted cottage, or the 3D sculpted Dwarves nestled in roses!

At what point does your brain just short-out from the staggering amount of talent in these cakes? 'Cuz mine's long gone, and we still have four more cakes to go!

When John and I visited Disneyland, one of my favorite parts of the park was the giant whale's mouth you sail through during the Storybook Land Canal Boats. It's based on Monstro from Pinocchio, of course, but I never thought I'd see him in cake form!

There's something about staring at wrecks for a while that makes me start thinking...

You know, stuff like:

Is it true cannibals won't eat clowns because they taste funny?

And why don't sheep shrink when it rains?

Ever wonder what color Smurfs turn when they're choked?

Or if a cow laughs, does milk come out of her nose?

And can a cow be lactose intolerant?

Why don't they make mouse-flavored cat food?

(Don't they have the guts?)

Do frogs have to wait an hour after eating before they get out of the water?

Because this guy already looks a little cramped.

When sign makers go on strike, what do they write on their signs?

And why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?

While we're at it, how come "monosyllabic" isn't?

Oh, and what if there weren't any hypothetical questions?

Glup!

You know, the other thing staring at cake wrecks does is make me want to take a nap.
