Sunday Sweets Celebrates Hamilton
I hope you're having a good 4th of July weekend, Sweets fans! For me and John the highlight has definitely been the premier of Hamilton on Disney Plus. Aw yeeeeah. Finally!
If you haven't seen the musical that turned the world upside down yet, then I hope you get the chance soon. The story is incredible, and the music will have you singing non-stop.
So to celebrate, here come 10 revolutionary Hamilton cakes.
(Auntie Bee's Bakery, Minnesota)
Werk!
(D-Cakes Company, Florida)
Love the modern, gravity-defying vibe here.
(Cajun Home Sweets, Louisiana)
Each of these cookies is a hand-painted work of art.
And look, there's more!
Over on Epbot I put together a ridiculously punny Hamilton menu with dessert options like "What'd I Whisk?" (for meringues) and "The World Turned Upside Down Cake."
(Ciasta Spoza Miasta, Poland)
I mention that because really ALL of these could be called The World Turned Upside Down Cake. Bonus if they were pineapple flavored, though.
(Cakes, Cookies, & Creations, Texas)
These hand-painted cameos are awesome, and look at the cake board! "Hamilton wrote the other 51" is one of John's favorite lines in the whole play, love that they included it.
Here's a neat use of a Fault Line:
And I love this variation on Hamilton's logo using the Statue of Liberty:
(Night Owls Baking Company, San Diego)
So simple, but powerful.
And here's a wedding version with the happy couple:
(Cakes By Rubina, Michigan)
♫ "A toast to the groom, to the bride..." ♪
This one lists out the play's song titles on the bottom tier:
(Kandi Kakes Bakery, Texas)
I would tell you what my favorite songs are, but there are too many! So some of my favorite less popular ones are Wait For It, Right Hand Man, Dear Theodosia, & It's Quiet Uptown. How about you guys?
Lovely aging and nice crisp silhouettes here:
(Sweets By E, Virginia)
And last but not least, ruffles and buttons and dueling pistols, oh my:
(Mike's Amazing Cakes, Washington)
Now I want to go watch Hamilton again. :)
Happy weekend, everyone, and may your Sunday be extra Sweet.

P.S. I have this book and absolutely love it. After the soundtrack, this is the best possible gift for a Hamilton fan!
